On March 5 – Physical Education and Sports Day, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized a sports parade and the opening ceremony of “Gazakh Sports Capital-2026” in the city of Gazakh. The event was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, representatives of the Gazakh City Executive Authority, and other officials.
The athletes and coaching staff of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation (AzCF) also participated in the parade. First, the parade of federations took place in formation. Afterwards, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed. Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov spoke about the Physical Education and Sports Day, which is celebrated annually in the country. The symbolic key of the “Sports Capital” project was handed over from Gabala and presented to Gazakh. Following this, the mascot of the Gazakh “Sports Capital” was introduced on stage.
