A follow-up meeting of the Organizing Committee of the International Cyclist Union’s (UCI) category 2.1 “Baku-Khankendi” Azerbaijan Cycling Race has been held. The reports of the responsible people across various work directions were heard at the meeting in accordance with the previously approved Action Plan.
To date, 23 teams from 19 countries have officially confirmed their participation in the race to be held on May 10-14. Among them, there is one WorldTeam, 7 ProTeams, 14 Continental teams and the Azerbaijan National Team. It was noted that the design of the official website (www.bakukhankendi.az) of the “Baku-Khankendi” Azerbaijan Cycling Race is also ready, and it will be launched in the coming days.
Issues related to security, the preparation of road infrastructure, the regulation of traffic, medical supply, media operations and the logistics for the participating teams were discussed at the meeting.
