According to the sports calendar plan approved by the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation for 2026, the opening race of the road cycling season has taken place. In the competition organized at Velopark, nearly 70 cyclists representing various clubs and communities competed in 5 age categories.
The competition for boys born in 2012-2013 over a distance of 6.4 km ended with Emil Abbasov's victory. Among boys born in 2010-2011, Ilkin Sadigzade completed the 9.6 km distance the fastest.
Boys in the 2008-2009 age group covered 12.8 km. In this category, Hasan Zeynalov proved to be the strongest.
Maryam Huseynova came first in the 6.4 km race for girls born in 2008-2009. Among girls born in 2011-2013, Suvar Isayeva finished the 3.2 km distance in first place.
The winners were awarded medals, diplomas, and gifts.
