Starting from May 1, 2026, the promotional video, dedicated to the “Baku-Khankendi” Azerbaijan Cycling Race to be held on May 10-14, is being broadcast on Eurosport and Euronews. The video features the short information about the race, its stages, and the areas the race participants will pass through.
It is noteworthy that 1 World Team, 4 Pro-Teams, 19 Continental Teams and the Azerbaijani national team have confirmed their participation in the 2.1 category UCI race. Information about these teams is available on the “bakukhankendi.az” website.
The stages of the 5-stage “Baku-Khankendi” Azerbaijan Cycling Race are as follows:
Stage 1, 10.05.2026
The race participants will start at the Sea Breeze Resort, pass through the attractions of Baku and reach the finish line in Sumgayit (158.4 km)
Stage 2, 11.05.2026
Baku – Shamakhi – Ismayilli (193.3 km)
Stage 3, 12.05.2026
Gabala – Oghuz – Shaki – Mingachevir (162.9 km)
Stage 4, 13.05.2026
Ganja – Goygol – Goranboy – Sugovushan – Talish – Naftalan (152.8 km)
Stage 5, 14.05.2026
Tartar – Aghdam – Fuzuli – Shusha – Khankendi (181.5 km)
Along with being a very interesting and alluring sporting competition, the Baku-Khankendi Azerbaijan Cycling Race is also an exceptional opportunity to showcase to the international community the tourism potential of our country, the large-scale restoration and development prosesses being carried out in the territories liberated from occupation.
