On April 4, the follow-up meeting of the Organizing Committee of the UCI 2.1 category “Baku-Khankendi” Azerbaijan Cycling Race was held. During the meeting, the current state of preparations for the race was discussed in detail.
Sahib Alakbarov, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee and First Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, stated that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the successful organization of this prestigious international race.
The meeting thoroughly discussed issues related to logistics, the technical condition of roads along the routes, security measures, visa support, the reception and accommodation of teams, the organization of their leisure time, the provision of information to participants about the country’s tourist attractions, as well as the reconstruction works underway in the liberated territories where the 4th and 5th stages of the race will take place. High-level broadcasting arrangements with “Eurosport” and “CBC Sport” television channels were also reviewed, along with operational management during the race days. Additional instructions were given to strengthen coordination and ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
