Our national road cycling team, currently preparing for the "Baku-Khankendi" Azerbaijan Cycling Race scheduled for May 10-14, is participating in the "Tour of Bostonliq" underway in Uzbekistan. Under the leadership of coach Elchin Asadov, six of our cyclists are competing in this two-stage race, which is classified as a 2.2 category event by the International Cycling Union (UCI).
At the first stage of the race, Musa Mikayilzade has achieved the highest result among our athletes. He finished 4th out of 87 cyclists, covering a grueling 146 km mountain route in 3 hours, 27 minutes, and 55 seconds. At the upcoming second stage, participants will cover a distance of 163 km.
It is noteworthy that just a few days ago, Musa Mikayilzade secured 15 ranking points by finishing 5th in the general classification of the 2.2 category "Grand Prix Fergana," also held in Uzbekistan.
