August 14–15, 2026 — The Country Cup in road cycling was held on August 14–15. The competition was organized in accordance with the 2026 sports calendar approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation.
On the first day of the competition, participants competed in individual time trials in Pirallahi District. Among boys under 15, Ismayil Khankishiyev (ROEQİUGVM) won the 10 km individual time trial. Abdurrahman Rafiev (AE Cycling School) finished second, while Emil Abbasov (AE Cycling School) took third place.
In the 20 km individual time trial for boys under 17, Raul Mahmudov (AE Cycling School) claimed victory. Emil Vakhrameyev (ROEQİUGVM) won the silver medal, while Ilkin Sadigzade (Təhsil) took bronze.
Among junior girls, Maryam Huseynova (ROEQİUGVM) recorded the best time over 10 km. Elenika Valizade (ROEQİUGVM) finished second, followed by Sevinc Sultanzade (AE Cycling School) in third.
On the second day, cyclists competed in group races in Gobustan District to determine the strongest riders. In the 60 km group race for boys under 15, Ismayil Khankishiyev (ROEQİUGVM) took the top step of the podium. Anar Mustafazade (Təhsil) finished second, while Ayxan Panahli (AE Cycling School) came third.
In the 80 km group race for boys under 17, Raul Mahmudov (AE Cycling School) emerged victorious. Ali Zeynalzade (ROEQİUGVM) finished second, while Ilkin Sadigzade (Təhsil) took third place.
In the 20 km group race among junior girls, Maryam Huseynova (ROEQİUGVM) won the gold medal. Sevinc Sultanzade (AE Cycling School) finished second, with Elenika Valizade (ROEQİUGVM) taking third.
As a result, Ismayil Khankishiyev in the under-15 boys’ category, Raul Mahmudov among under-17 boys, and Maryam Huseynova among junior girls won both the individual and group races, achieving the best overall results at the Country Cup.
