The National Track Cycling Championship was held at the Republican Velodrome in accordance with the 2026 sports calendar approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation.
Around 80 athletes representing various clubs and sports associations across Azerbaijan took part in the three-day competition. The championship featured several age groups, with cyclists competing in a number of the main track cycling disciplines.
As part of the championship, athletes competed in individual time trials over 500 meters, 2 kilometers and 3 kilometers, a 200-meter sprint, as well as group events in the scratch and points races. Throughout the competition, participants demonstrated their speed, tactical skills and endurance in their pursuit of top results.
The National Championship also played an important role in increasing the competition experience of cyclists from different age groups, identifying promising athletes and further developing track cycling in Azerbaijan.
Based on the results of the competitions, winners and medalists were determined in various disciplines and age categories. The top-performing athletes were awarded medals and diplomas by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
