Alexander Vinokurov, the winner of the road cycling event at the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games, the honorable guest of the “Baku-Khankendi” Azerbaijan Cycling Race from Kazakhstan, said that this international race has been organized at a high level.

Overall, everything has been organized at a high level. There is great interest from viewers. The roads are in a good condition and broad. I consider that this race deserves a higher category. The International Federation and the organizers will decide that. However, what I see is that the race is being held at a very high level. Security has also been ensured. We are pleased to participate here. Such races preserve the old traditions. Generally speaking, everything is excellent. Such competitions play a crucial role in the promotion of cycling in the country.”
