Iker Gómez, a rider of the Spanish UCI ProTeam “Equipo Kern Pharma”, retained the white jersey awarded to the best young rider after Stage 4 of the “Baku–Khankendi” Azerbaijan Cycling Race.
In an interview with “bakukhankendi.az”, he stated that the team is trying to do its best throughout all stages of the race and achieve the best possible result.
“Most of the cycling races I have taken part in so far have been held in Spain and France. In this regard, the main challenge I currently face is being far from home. This is a different environment. However, competing here is quite enjoyable,” Gómez said.
