The individual time trial competitions have begun at the national road cycling championship, jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation. On the first day, the winners were determined across 3 categories.
In the under-17 girls' category (2010–2011), Maryam Huseynova (ROEQİUGVM) became the champion of Azerbaijan in the 10 km race with a time of 17 minutes and 23 seconds. Rahim Naghiyev (ROEQİUGVM) won the 22.5 km race among junior boys (2008–2009). He covered the distance in 29 minutes and 49 seconds, climbing to the highest step of the podium.
In the Men's Elite/U23 category, Musa Mikayilzade (AE Cycling School) outperformed all his competitors in the 30 km individual time trial, earning the title of national champion with a time of 36 minutes and 31 seconds.
