Organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, the national road cycling championship will be held. The competition, taking place from June 27 to 30, will feature individual time trials in Baku and group races (road races) in Khizi.
On June 27–28, individual time trial races for various age groups will take place in the Khazar district (Dreamland-Turkan road, starting at 09:00). For the first time, at the initiative of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, a 15 km individual time trial race will also be held for amateur athletes in the 35–49 and 50+ age categories. The race for amateurs competing in this category will take place on June 28.
On June 29–30, the group races will be organized in the Khizi district. The results of the national championship will also be submitted to the International Cycling Union (UCI) and will be reflected in the ranking tables of national federations.
